Release 3.0.0.631

Due to the core nature of recent modifications, if you coming from a version prior to 560, this update must be installed by one of our support representatives and can take a substantial amount of time. Please contact us at [email protected] or via phone at (877) 510-7473.

Client Listing;

Allergies will now show in the header area of each Client, even if the user has opted for notes not to be shown.

Pending Forms:

A new function called Pending Form(s) now exists in the Side Bar in which client-submitted customized documents are now appear, once completed by the client, until they have been attached to the appropriate clients. Any documents that are completed by the clients will now appear in this section. They can be attached to the correct client by selecting the document from Pending Documents and then clicking on the Import   icon.

Email fields:

Spaces will now automatically be removed from all email fields within all contact records. The accidental use of a space was causing issues when emailing clients statements, invoices and appointment reminders.

Windows Clipboard:

Several issues have been reported lately using the Windows clipboard copy/paste function with newer versions of Windows. This update addresses that issue.

Deleted Items User information:

Items appearing under the Deleted Items Listing on the Side Bar will now also show which user deleted that specific item along with the date/time stamp.

Find Appointments:

  • The exported version of Find Appointments now also includes the At Home and Telehealth fields.
  • If a user attempts to delete more than 10 appointments at one time, an extra confirmation message will now appear. This has been added in an attempt to prevent the accidental deletion of mass appointments.

Scheduler Setting Security:

A new User Security option has been added under the Housekeeping, Security, Users, in the Functions tab entitled Allow to sort resources. If selected, the user will be able to alter the order of the Scheduled Providers and how they appear on the scheduler panel.

Client Account Summary panel:

The # of Cancelled appointments has been split into Client Cancelled and Therapist Cancelled individual counts on the Client Account Summary panel.

Entry of Services:

  • A new user-based option found under Settings, Other entitled Charges and daily notes can only be entered from the scheduler has been added. If selected, then that specific user will only be able initiate the entry of charges and daily notes from the scheduler panel and not from the Client Listing. This basically forces charges and notes to only be made for scheduled appointments.
  • The entry of 0 or ‘blank’ Units will no longer be allowed on Fee Codes whose pricing is based on Units on all service entry panels.

Generic Invoicing:

A bug in which the Provider credentials were cut-off on the generic invoices has been corrected.

Fee Packages:

The Fee Package Listing screen now provides Search Bars that can be used to locate both specific Fee Codes and Descriptions.

Client Listing Report:

The exported version of this report will now include the Functionality Levels field and the Family Physician First and Last names.

NEW Therapist Cancelled schedule status:

The new Therapist Cancelled status, found on the scheduler, will now be itemized on all relevant reports.

The number of invoices reported has been added to the summary section of this report.

The revenue-per-referral will now be included in the exported version of this report if the Show financial data report option is selected.

An error in the client summary and report summary sections that resulted from split fees (between Providers) has been corrected.

A new filter entitled Exclude Discharged patients has been added to this report. If selected, clients who have been discharged will not be included.

Document & Progress Note Status report:

  • The Provider filter will now also apply to co-providers, as well.
  • If a Note or Document was created for a date for which the client was NOT scheduled, it would not have shown up as being incomplete on this report. Basically, documents and notes without ANY corresponding appointment date that were started, but not completed, would not have been reported. This has been corrected.

Accounts Receivable Worklist Report:

Issues involving data not being reported as a result of transfers between payors/clients have been corrected.

Unbilled Services Report:

  • A new filter entitled Only show unsigned charges has been added. If selected, only Unbilled Services for which there is a corresponding un-signed daily note will be reported.
  • A bug in which extra blank lines appeared when running the Summary Only option of this report have been corrected.

Client Statements:

  • A bug was corrected that reported extra clients with a credit with printing statements from the Payor Activity by Services panel.
  • If one or more clients are selected for statement printing that do NOT have an Email address on file, the option to Email the statements will be disabled.

Customized Documents:

  • The maximum length of a text field has been increased from 2600 to 4000 characters.
  • A bug in which headings were sometimes not printed in Bold font, when indicated, has been corrected.

Document Footer & Provider Name:

A new option entitled Include Provider Name in footer has been added to both the printing of Daily Notes and Documents. If selected, the Provider's name will appear in the footer section on every page of these documents.

Forcing Durations to match:

A new option under Settings, Customize Progress Notes/Documentation entitled Force Daily Note and Service Duration to match has been added. If selected, if the Duration entered on the Daily Note does not match the duration of all of the services entered for that specific date, Provider and Incident, then the user will not be allowed to Complete/Sign the note until the discrepancy has been corrected. This is a user-based setting.

Service Entry option:

A new option exists under Settings, Customize Accounting entitled Always use full service entry screen. If selected, the full service entry panel (not the abbreviated panel) will always appear when entering charges directly from either a Daily Note or Document. This is a user-based setting.

Document endless loop:

If a user did not have the authority to Create/Modify documents for another Provider, they could not escape the options box to create that document and had to shutdown Practice Perfect to exit. This has been corrected.

 

Patient Portal

Clinic Location order:

The order of how the clinic locations are listed on the client portal can now be modified. This new option can be found under Settings, Customize Web Client portal in the Location Order tab. Users can now use the Up and down arrow   icons to change the order of the how the locations will appear.

 

Canadian Billing Specific

Ontario HCAI billing:

The testing of HCAI release V3.30 as been completed - these non-manditory changes were effective as of October 2nd, 2023. There is no change to the experience in this update.

US Billing Specific

EDI837 Referral Numbers:

Loop 2310A will now be included when the Ordering Provider has a Referral Number and all services on a specific claim require that the Referral Number is to be submitted.

NEW Compliance Report:

The new Compliance Report has been added to the Practice Perfect web version. This report has been available on the desktop version for several months.

Login issues:

When a user accidentally locked themselves out for having entered too many incorrect passwords, the error message they received was 'Invalid login information' and not that they have been locked out for too many bad login attempts. This has been corrected, the user will now be notified of the correct login issue.

There were reports of changes to Service Dates not being retained correctly on the web version of Practice Perfect - this has been corrected.
