Provider Compensation setup:

When copying compensation settings to ALL Fee Codes within a Provider, the user now has the option of coping to ALL Fee Codes, only Product Fee Codes or only non-Product Fee Codes.

Security Correction:

If viewing an Activity Screen for a client (financial, documents, daily notes, etc), it was possible to press ENTER and return to the Client Detail screen for that client even if that was not permitted for that specific user. This loophole has been closed.

French Generic Invoices/Receipts:

"Please pay this amount" is now properly translated to French (it was in English).

Find Appointments export:

The Find Appointments export now includes the username who originally booked the appointment.

Appointment Status changes:

The HOLD appointment status will now prompt for a Comment, when selected, in the same fashion as Cancellations and Rebooks.

A new appointment status drop-down option has been added and is entitled "Therapist Cancelled". This is to be used if the appointment was cancelled by the therapist and not the client. A Comment is required, if selected. This new statistic will be added to the relevant reports in the next release.

Contact Log entry for status changes:

When a Comment is added to a Cancelled/Rebooked appointment, and the user selects the Add to client Contact Log option, that Contact Log entry will now automatically be deemed as being Completed'

NEW Compliance Report:

A new report entitled the "Compliance Report" has been added to the Reports menu under Operations drop-down.

This report is designed to show if a client is complying with their treatment plan and references the Total Visits Allowed, Visits Allowed and the In this many days fields in the Clients Treatment Plan tab. Eg; if a client is allowed a total of 21 visits, 3 allowed in 7 days, this report will show if they are falling short of this recommended treatment plan, how often they are actually attending and how many visits short they have fallen.

Referral Association report:

The username and timestamp relating to who originally added each Client has now been added to this report.

Revenue Report:

A new Summary by Locations section has been added to the end of this report which will be included when the report is produced for <All Locations>.

This new high-level summary reports the total revenue for each location.

Client Statements/Contact Log:

If the user selects to Enable statement contact log when producing either type of client statement, the Comment copied to the log will now also include the Incident Description.

Treatment Statistics Report:

The Summary by # of Visits section of this report now details discharge counts from Zero to Ten Visits individually, followed by 11+ visits summarized together.

Unbilled Services Report:

A new column has been added to this report and is entitled 'Unsigned'.

If the specific charge requires a Daily Note and a Completed/Signed note does not exist for that date, it will be indicated in this new column.

Patient Portal

Client Self-Booking Lead Time:

The amount of Lead Time that a client can book an appointment has now been implemented. For example, if a client cannot book at an appointment within a certain number of business hours before that appointment, this can now be indicated.

To define the Lead Time requirement for client self-booking, under Housekeeping, Scheduler, Scheduled Providers, a new field exists entitled Web Booking Lead Time.

Client information field inconsistencies:

The Client Detail record on the Practice Perfect web version had some field naming inconsistencies from the Desktop version - also a few fields were not included - this has been corrected.

Financial

Treatment Plan Authorization #'s and Invoicing/Claim Submission:

The Authorization # on the Treatment Plan tab now supercedes the Claim #/Auth # field on the Policy/Claim tab when submitting any invoices that use that field (eg; HCFA/EDI Box 23, HCAI Claim #, etc)

If a service falls between the Start Date and End Date on the Treatment Plan tab AND an Authorization # exists for those dates, that Authorization # will be used for any invoice preparation and claim submission.

Web Version

Reporting:

The Invoice Journal can now be generated from the web version of Practice Perfect.

Canadian Billing Specific

Telus billing modifications:

  • A new Provider Type entitled "Psychotherapist" has been added to the Telus available provider options.
  • A new Payor has been added, "Canada Life - PSHCP"
  • A bug in which eClaims IDs longer than 6 characters weren't being accepted has been corrected.
  • An error occured when the Facility # contained a non-digital character, this has been corrected.
