General & Setup

Integrated Faxing:

  • An issue in which sometimes extra random spaces were included or fonts were incorrect in outgoing faxes has been corrected.
  • An issue in which sometimes the OK and Cancel buttons were missing when sending a fax have been corrected.

Incident management:

An issue in which you could not assign a default incident when ALL incidents have been discharged has been corrected.

Security for Self-Only Clients:

An issue existed in the Client Listing in which a Provider, who was setup to view only their own clients, was not working properly in multiple-location clinics. In this case, not all clients would appear if the default incident did not belong to the Provider in-question. This has been corrected.

Scheduler

Auto-Charge and Location Code:

When using the auto-charge function from the Scheduler, the charge's Location Code was not always brought forward automatically. This has been corrected.

Appointment Entry and Colors:

An error would appear when trying to select a Color for an appointment using the color's Description to search for that color. This has been corrected.

Reporting exporting:

Some random errors have been reported when exporting reports - these have been corrected.

Reporting queues in Windows:

Reports with multiple batches (eg; statements, invoices) will now be shown as one print job in the printer's Windows queue instead of each job showing individually.

Unbilled Services & Accounts Receivable reports:

The internal workings of this report have been modified to reduce printing time and prevent 'out of memory' errors.

Unpaid Services report:

The Unpaid Services report has been renamed to the Accounts Receivable (By Services) report to better-reflect its purpose and for consistency. The report itself has not changed.

Client Listing report:

A bug in which Injury Codes were not included on the exported version of this report if Body Parts did not exist has been corrected.

Payment Journal:

The Payor Network field has been added as a filtering option.

Revenue Report:

  • Each services Location Code has been added to this report its own column.
  • The exported version of this report now includes both treating and billing Provider Types, the first 3 Body Parts, the Incident Contact Date, the Fee Type and if the Fee Code is a Product.

An error occured on this report if dates were not entered in the correct format - this has been corrected.

Items uploaded by patients using the Patient Portal (see releases notes, this release) will now be shown in italic print.

A new option has been added to this report entitled Show client uploaded documents which, if selected, will only show documents uploaded by patients using the Patient Portal (see releases notes, this release).

Activities by Daily Progress Note:

An issue when using the Next and Previous Note   functions on the Activities by Daily Progress Notes listing in which sometimes notes were skipped has been corrected.

Customized Documents:

  • Several new fields have been added for use as fields in Customized Documents, as follows: Client Home Email, Clinic Location Company Name, Clinic Location Tax ID and Clinic Location NPI #.
  • The Physician Signature line sometimes appeared in the wrong position - this has been corrected.

Daily Notes/Scheduler:

An issue in which sometimes the Completed Note  icon would not appear in the scheduler cell when multiple providers were being seen on the same day has been correced.

Page Numbering:

Sporadic page numbering issues with the printing of Canned Documents and printing of multiple Daily Progress Notes, all versions, have been corrected.

Patient Portal

Financial information:

A new function on the Patient Portal allows the patient's to view their previous and unpaid financial transactions. There is also now a method for those clinics with online payments available for patients to launch the payment portal from their account detail screen.

This can be enabled under Settings, Customize Web Portal.

In the General tab, a new field has been added entitled Financial Info to show on the portal. There are three choices, as follows: None, which means the portal will not even show the new Financial icon; Total Charge/Client portion, which shows the total charge and the client's portion separately or Client portion only, which will only show the client's portal of any charges.

In the Payment Link tab, a link to the clinic's payment portal can be setup for use on the Patient Portal. Under Portal Payment Wording, enter the text of the button to launch the payment portal - eg; "Click here to pay your bill.". Under Portal Payment Website enter the actual web link to your payment portal website.

Patient Portal

Document Exchange:

A new function has been added to the Patient Portal in which the clinic can send documents to the portal for patients to retrieve AND patients can upload documents directly to the clinic.

To upload Daily Progress Notes to the client portal, begin in the Activities by Daily Progress Notes listing. Under the Portal column heading, tick the note that you wish to send to the client portal. UNtick the note to remove it from the portal. You can also open the note and click on the new Send to client portal icon.

To upload Documents to the client portal, begin in the Activities by Document listing. Under the Portal column heading, tick the document that you wish to send to the client portal. UNtick the document to remove it from the portal. You can also open the document and click on the new Send to client portal icon.

Documents uploaded by the patient will appear in the Activities by Document listing and will indicates by a tick appearing under the By Client column.

Web Version

Reporting & Faxing:

Reports are finally being added to the web version of Practice Perfect! Additional reports will be added at a rapid base over the next few updates.

In this release, the following reports are now ready for use from the web version: Payor Listnig, Patient Fall-Off Report, Funding Report, Conatct Log Follow-Up report, Daily Progress Note report, Customized Document reporting, Other Contact Listning, Physician Listing, Client Listing, Daily Progress Note and Document Status report.

Faxing has also been enabled on the web version for any reports that have been added.

Issues surrounding permissions for the signing of Daily notes and Documents have been corrected.

Canadian Billing Specific

Ontario MVA HCAI:

The upgrade to the latest HCAI version is included, version R3.27 effective as of May 2nd, 2022.

Telus E-Claims:

This version contains the mandatory upgrade required to submit claims to Telus Health effective May 30th, 2022. Without this update, you may no longer be able to submit claims to Telus electronically.

General & Setup

Global Payments/X-Charge Integration:

Improvements have been made to how X-Charge is handling cases where multiple users are sharing the same data folder and data is potentially ending up in the wrong patient's profile.

Patient Portal

Multiple Locations and Registration:

For clinics with multiple locations, new patients will now be asked to select which location that they wish to register under. Any clinic with Scheduled Providers that are active will appear on the list of available locations. Once the patient enters their registration information, they will appear on the Client Listing of the location that they selected.

General & Setup

Payor Activity Screen switching:

A bug introduced in release R596 in which an error appeared when dropping-down to different Payors while in the various financial Activity Screens has been corrected.

Payment Journal & Payment Application reports:

When printing these reports, the Payment Description filter will now ignore any special characters when attempting to match up payments.
